Read-only attributes in edit form

Is it possible to make some of the feature attributes values displayed in the edit form read-only?  Users need to see the ID values but I don't want them to change them.

  It is not currently possible using out of the box configuration. However, fields can be marked as read only in ArcMap and will not be updated.

  The internal issue to track this feature is GE-6174. I can add you as a stakeholder if you'd like.

  I just upgraded to GE 4.4 and GVH 2.5. This issue is still occurring. I made the fields read only in ArcMap, published the service, re-loaded the site, checked to make sure they were included fields in GE, but they don't display at all in the edit form.  My hope is to have these attributes appear on the edit form for reference but ensure that the user can't change the values. Possible?
