Manager problems after adding a service

I'm having some problems with the Map section of Manager after importing a service and configuring a couple of layers. The format of the page is weird and I can't get to the layer list. The new layers also don't show up in the viewer. Have I somehow corrupted my site.xml?

  Oookay. I have no idea what I did, but I now have Manager back and the two layers behaving as intended. I removed the layers and service, added the service back in instead of importing. What did not work was moving layers from this service in the layer list to a different folder. I had to leave them in the original folder and hide all the sublayers (I didn't want any to show in the layer list, but wanted 2 to be visible by default). Weird.

  Still having periodic Manager problems, with multiple sites now (items on the page don't load). I have to completely log out and restart the browser (Chrome). Should I be using another browser? I'm just concerned this indicates corruption somewhere. Any ideas?
