Workflow with basic operators

I was just wondering what others were doing in regards to workflows that use basic operators. <> = > <

For Example:

Where  [__Hydrant Colour___] is [ <> = >< ] [ Blue ]

Has anyone ever created a workflow like this and willing to share examples.
