    Krystal ,

Just a thought, did you go to "Service Connections" in Essentials to create the WMS Connection first, storing the username and password there, before Adding the Map Service to the site?

See page 138 of the "Geocortex Essentials Administrator Guide" regarding Secured WMS and WMTS connections.

" In order to add a secured WMS or WMTS to an Essentials site, you must first add a service connection. The service  connection stores the information that Essentials needs to be able to connect to the service, including the information  that allows Essentials to authenticate. "

    Regards,

    Rick

    Hi Rick,

Yes this is how I added the connection.  When I open the web service to edit in Essentials Manager or view the web service in IE or Chrome, an authentication required box appears asking for username and password for the WMS.

    Thanks,

    Krystal

Has anybody found the solution for this issue. I am also facing similar problem of storing username/password along with the service.
