I want to.... "do something else"
When I demonstrate our working and developed sites to new users, the management console is my favorite launching point... The most common question resulting from the demonstrations is, "Can we see that view?"
What would be an excellent enhancement to a "holistic" solution would be to have an option within the individual site to publish the resource to a "do something else" page that is managed by essentials... Then we could point visitors to a cool interface that looks similar to the Essentials manger view.
Maybe there could be a Silverlight / HTML5 version of the "something else" access points... or even better yet; when a user selects "do something else"... their view extent and log-in are passed on to that something else map....
This could help us develop refined tools for specific answers while opening up the resources to more visitors. All while reducing the management overhead of maintaining a separate links page.

Weird I had a similar request a while ago yeah would be nice to generate a map gallery from essential manager or have the ability to select itemes from the manager to publish as a gallery to a public or internal site.
Similar to what one can do on ArcGIS Online... Group em and make them avaialable to the public , a group...0
