Additional search box in toolbar?

Is there a way to have an additional search box that shows in the toolbar? It would be neat to have a simple lat lng search that took input similar to google. I have a workflow with forms (that allow format picking) in the default area, but the dispatchers are looking for faster access than clicking through a form.
