Layers Missing in Viewer
I am trying to add new layers to an existing site. The layers appear in manager but will not display in the viewers. If I create a new site and add the layers, they WILL appear. I cannot figure out what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
John

In the manager, open the map service properties >> Add/Remove Layers. Make sure the layers you added are not listed under the Excluded Layers.
Also make sure there is no yellow warning sign at the top of the manager window right in front of "Configure Site...", if so click on the warning sign and follow the instruction.0 -
Thanks for the response Masao. There are no warning signs in the manager window. I also checked the Add/Remove Layers Service Properties and it is not excluded. The layer even shows up in the map preview but when I launch it in a viewer it is not there. 0 -
John,
have you enabled 'Themes' in your layer listing by any chance and not enabled/assigned this layer to a Theme? Is it HTML or Silverlight Viewer? Version?0 -
That's it! I forgot that I had created a theme as a workaround for the HTML5 viewer's limitation/bug of sub-item visibility.
Thanks for your help Gareth!0 -
Not a problem. Lucky guess :) 0
