Transparency slider for a folder that contains layers from different map services

That's the expected behavior, albeit frustrating.

From Latitude: "The case that you are suggesting is not currently possible. Sliders should appear when all layers of a map service are contained within the same folder. Even if a single layer is outside the folder, the slider will not be displayed. As an alternative configuration, if you have all of the layers from one service in one folder, then put layers from another map service in the second folder, the slider should appear. Transparency sliders for individual feature layers is currently filed as a feature request."

    Hi Hani,

How did you get the transparency slider in the layer window? Is that HTML5 viewer?

    Thanks,

    Dmitry.

It should appear by default when you enable "Allow per request modification of layer order..." at the ArcGIS Server service level.

    hi Dmitry,

Could you please light up what changes you made allowed you  have transparency slider appeared on each layer? I've tried

"Allow per request modification of layer order..." but it didn't work for me. I'm using GE 4.4.3, and SV2.5.1. thank you

    regards,

    Jack

    Hi Jack

Actually, I didn’t get the transparency slider. I’ve got the symbolisation only.

There are transparency sliders inside Symbolization but it different.

I would happy if somebody enlighten us how to set the transparency slider.

Hi Hani, any idea why you have the slider and we don’t?

    Thanks,

    Dmitry.

I have one Map Service and I break it up into folders. Some of the folders show transparency and some don't. I can't figure out the difference since all of the layers are coming from the same map service.  Any thoughs?

Does anyone know if transparency sliders for individual features made it into the most recent release of geocortex?  Or if the transparency slider is still behaving as mentionned above...keep all layers from one map service in 1 folder?

This would still seem to be an issue in GXE4.6.2 and HTML5 2.7.1
