US NATIONAL GRID service (ESRI)

I was wondering if anyone was able to add the ESRI USNG service to Geocortex Viewer? I am using the service in ArcMap (http://maps1.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/services ) but can't figure how to add the service to my Geocortex viewer. I tried to add Map Service using  URL http://maps1.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/NGA_US_National_Grid/MapServer/

 

but it won't work ( Connection failed error). See attached picture. Contacted ESRI and they suggested contacting Latitude :).  I suspect I either don't have the correct address for USNG WMS  or the SERVICE is not WMS capable. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  That URL is for an ArcGIS Server service rather than a WMS. If you change the "Connection Type" to "ArcGIS Server" it will work.

  Thanks for your reply.... Just tried adding as an ArcGIS Server but with identical results: Connection Failed! ( see pic).

  Hi Liviu

   

  Just tried it myself and I suspect that you are behind a firewall.

   

  The URL works fine when in a browser but not when used in the Add Connection dialog.

   

  I have yet to find a good way to deal with this
