Sign In button missing

The Sign In button no longer appears in our production viewers.  It used to appear and has even been used to sign in successfully.  It shows on the same sites in our test environment, even the sites that have no security set up.  Does the viewer check something at runtime before displaying the sign in button that I could look into? The logs show all the modules loading in the viewer without errors so I am at a loss as where to look for issues...

  Hi Dan, 

  In Essentials manager, if you disabled all of the Security Providers except for Anonymous Access, the sign in button won't appear. It does a check at runtime to ensure that security providers are available before showing that Sign In option.

  The thing is, we do have other Security Providers enabled.  The Geocortex Identity Server, actually.  I can even navigate to the Identity Server page (https:<our domain>/geocortex/idenitytserver) as well as manage users and roles in Manager.  Is there a service or process on the server I can make sure is running? What is it looking for at runtime?
