Export drawing to SHP like in Silverlight

Silverlight had a great feature of exporting to a shapefile after you draw/mark on the map.  Is this feature available in HTML5 that I am overlooking?  My users are drawing objects/marking the map and they want to export it to be used in other softwares.

  I believe this functionality will be in the next release.
