Configurable Measurement Tool label offset for total length (GVH-13409)
CompletedModify the measurement tool to allow the user to move the "final" measurement results label. This would be especially helpful when measuring polygons. The "final" measurement label is centered on the polygon obscuring the polygon and the features beneath it. Another option would be to give the user the ability to select "Place Label Inside" or "Place Label Outside" when measuring a polygon.

My customer wanted to print out a map showing two areas with measurements on them. However the labels were hiding the polygons, so it was not possible to show both the measurements and the polygons at the same time. 0 -
Exactly what Masao said! All of my users complain about the HTML5 measurement tool and wish for our old Silverlight site back for this very reason alone! 0 -
This would be great ! 0 -
Ditto. It would be nice if it were dynamic- inside if possible, followed by outside locations. 0 -
In Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.10, the total measurement label for polylines will be offset so that it no longer obscures the last vertex. Administrators will be able to edit this offset within configuration, though not through the management pack (i.e., not in Essentials Manager). 0 -
Adding the ability to turn measurement labels on/off would be a big help. Our users would like to be able to to turn them off at times. Also, editable text labels that could be created from the measurement text would allow users to move text, round values to integer so as not to confer on-gound precision that web-based measurements can't offer, etc. 0
