Include Copyright in Print/Export

    Hi John,

In addition to having the print template set with a text box using the _CopyrightText datafield setting (which it looks like you already have done), you also have to explicitly set an option in Essentials Manager to enable the copyright text for each map service.

To do this, navigate to your Map tab in Essentials Rest Manager and open the Map Services tab. From there, select which Map Service has the copyright text you want printed and edit it. In this view you can see what the default copyright message is and choose to use that or change to a custom message, this is also where you can set it to be printable by enabling the "Include Copyright in Print/Export" checkbox.

Do this for each map service in which you want the copyright message printed and it should show within the template you set up on print.

Hopefully this solves the issue, if not let me know and I can look deeper into the issue

    Hi Cory,

Thanks for your reply.  I did have those settings already and the copyright works great in our Silverlight Viewer.  When I use the print templates in the HTML5 viewer, however, it does not show up.  If it helps, this can be demonstrated using the following links to our webmap:

    http://geo.washco.utah.gov/SilverlightViewer/?Viewer=RecordersOffice

    http://geo.washco.utah.gov/Html5Viewer/?viewer=RecordersOffice

When the Google Imagery is turned on, the copyright should appear in the print, but currently it only works for Silverlight.

    Thanks for your continued help,

    John

    Hi Cory,

Are you able to confirm if this functionality should work in the HTML5 viewer. I was going to enable it for a number of our viewers (SL and HTML5) but this post puts that in doubt if it only works for SL.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi John,

I've found some time to test this and with GE v4.4.3 and HTML5 v2.5.2 the copyright text is coming through correctly on Print and Export map outputs.

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info!  I haven't updated yet, but good to know that it works correctly in the new version.
