Is it possible to change symbolization within HTML5 viewer like in the SVL viewers?
Wondering if users are able to change symbolization in the HTML5 viewer like you can in the sliverlight viewer.
I have set the allow symbolization in a feature layer’s Detail section, and set can symbolize in the field section, and also have the Dynamic Workspaces capability turned on for the map service but I still can’t see where to change the symbol when I launch the html site. In the silverlight viewer you could right click on the layer and set your own symbols.

Hello Cathy,
This feature is not currently available in the HTML5 Viewer. I'll add your name to the list of stakeholders.
Thanks, Stefan

As Drew mentioned in his last (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCVideo?sub-nav=videos&main-nav=essentials&dc=All_Webinars&criteria=BESTANSWERS&id=kA560000000PBWe) Road Ahead webinar , this feature is on the roadmap for our next Essentials release (along with a time slider for time-aware layers and the ability to add map layers client-side from a layer catalogue or search). As always, there's the standard caveat with announcements around upcoming releases that all things are subject to change, but we're strongly committed to these three features in particular. 0 -
Can anyone update me on the status of this feature request for the HTML5 Viewer? It's been over two years since the last post, thanks! 0 -
Any updated in 2020? 0 -
Yes. You need to check the box on your map service capabilities - Dynamic Workspaces Allow per request modification of layer order and symbology.within ArcGIS Server manager. 0 -
Hi Cathy and thanks for your quick reply. I am familiar with the manual process and was wondering if it is possible via workflow or configuration through Geocortex Essentials (GE) Manager without requiring the users to change it. Is it possible to configure a symbol and then make it default in GE Manager or change it through a startup workflow? 0
