Selected layers not showing on map

I'm using Essentials 4.4.3 with Silverlight Viewer 2.4 and I have layers that are 'checked on' but are not displaying.  If I toggle these problem layers off and then back on again they will display.  In some circumstances incorrect layers will display which can also be fixed by a bit of toggling. Not an ideal situation to be in.

 

Any help with this issue appreciated.

  Should say that in this instance the issue only appears to be occuring with the 2.4 Silverlight viewer.  I have a 2.5.2 HTML5 viewer associated with the same site that does not experience the problem.  However I have experienced similar issues with the HTML5 viewer in the past.
