Reformatting field tokens in the Feature Description or Long Description in a Layers' Details

Hello everyone,

 

Im trying to report back a features Date field to my users as part of a layers Feture Description (or Feature Long Description) in a more user friendly readable format than the native Date field format contained in SQL.  After an Identity of a particular feature, the Date is reported back like this:

 

?

 

12?/?31?/?1960? ?6?:?00?:?00? ?PM

 

Id like to be able to report it back to my users with something more readable, such as

 

?12?/?31?/?1960?

 

or

 

?1960. 

 

In addition, Id like to have more flexibility and control in what is reported back as well (Year only, MM,DD,YYYY only, etc.).  Is this possible in Essentials?  And if so, what is the best method according to Latitude best practices?

  Newer versions of Geocortex include the option to choose the date display format for your fields.
