what version of the HTML5 viewer?

I think in the latest Road Ahead webinar it was mentioned that the new viewer can search for and add content by URL.  It didn't specifically say if that included AGOL content or not.  Might be worth checking into though.

We are now at HTML5 2.7.

I just tried linking directly to an ArcGIS Online dataset endpoint using the upload data tool and was unable to add it to my map.

I'll have a look-see in the admin guide to see if I can configure this tool to work for my needs...

    Hi Erik,

Sorry for the late reply, but for the benefit of others reading this, as long as the ArgGIS Online content is public, it can be added using thew 'Add Layer' button in the viewer.  You would need to make sure this button is added to the toolbar in Manager first.  If the content was not public you would need to have an ArcGIS Online based viewer.

    I hope this helps,
