ExitWorkflow widget, benefits?

What is the benefit of using the ExitWorkflow widget? Does it clean memory resources or anything comapred to just ending your workflow without the use of the widget?

  According to the tool documentation, "This activity is provided as a convenience. Workflow designs that use other Control Flow activities to gracefully exit the workflow are recommended in place of this activity."
