Transparency Slider in HTML5 2.6.1
After Upgrading from Essentials 4.5 & HTML5 2.6 to Essentials 4.5.1 & HTML5 2.6.1, our transparency sliders are not appearing for map services, although they do show up for Base Maps. Layers have not been moved between Map Services, and the "Show Transparency Slider" is checked in the "Layer List" tab using Essentials Manager.
Any thoughts on how to get the transparency sliders working again?

Hello everyone,
Thank you for your feedback. We are aware of this issue and have created an ticket (GVH-10803) for this issue.

We have encountered this issue as well, and we have decided to wait until this is fixed before upgrading the production since the transparency slider is a quite important tool. When do you think this will be fixed? Is this a top priority for the next service pack or release? We do like to release the new features to our users soon as they really like the new project tools etc. 0 -
I'm hoping that the bug will be resolved in HTML5 2.6.2 0 -
If you add a Folder to the Layer List and put all your services into the folder, the sliders magically reappear. 0 -

Nice workaround, but unfortunately this creates more issues for us than it solves. We have a number of workflows that have folder dependencies and adding that extra parent folder, means a whole lot of more other work. 0 -
This workaround only works on some services. Not sure why. Waiting for 2.6.2. 0 -
The team is testing a fix for this issue now. If everything checks out, the fix will be in GVH 2.7. 0 -
Hi,
The fix for this issue is now confirmed. It will be in GVH2.7 next release.
Cheers,

Will the fix in GVH2.7 support transparency beign controlled per folder if all of your data is in one Map Serive? 0 -
Hi Bobby,
The fix only supports at the Map service level.
Kind Regards,
Pairin

To get the transparency sliders visible in GVH 2.6, apart from putting the service in a folder, there should also be more than one mapservice in this folder. If there is only one, the slider is not shown. 0 -
We are still experiencing this issue in GV 2.7 - is this still a known bug? 0 -
This is a old post but I would like to know if someone was able to display transparency siders instead of "layer actions" 0 -
This is not possible because transparency is set on mapservice level and not on layer level. 0
