Saved Projects not Opening with Data

We just installed the latest upgrades.  We set up user sign in with Windows Authentication.  In testing Saved Projects, they are not opening correctly.    The correct map extent will load and any markup will load, but the data will not load.  The folder containing the data is closed.  When I expand it, I can see my layers and the correct layers are checked, but everything is grayed out.   Any idea what is causing this or what we need to do to get it working.
