ArcFM Web with existing Geocortex Site

I have a client who has a Geocortex Essentials site up and running.  He is interested in ArcFM Web, which is based on Geocortex.  Can he install ArcFM web in his existing instance of Geocortex Essentials?  Is it just another site that could be added to it, or else does it require a separate Geocortex Essentials installation?

  Hi Mark,

   

  This is Matthew St. John from Schneider Electric support. ArcFM Web will function like a new installation of Geocortex Essentials: you'll uninstall the old version and install the new version, however you'll be installing ArcFM Web on the second step instead of the new Geocortex installer. We provide a template with the ArcFM Web installer that includes our new tools available in the HTML5 viewer, and because that template is built for use with the matching installer you'll need to use both in tandem for the new functionality.

  Thanks, Matthew.  Once you have ArcFM Web installed and running, can you then use the Geocortex Essentials installation that you have running for ArcFM Web to run some other site that is just a regular Essentials site?

  Yep. You can make a new viewer and use the viewer template that we provide and leave off the ArcFM tools, or use a differente viewer template that's better tuned to what you need to do for your other users.
