Why wms added as basemap doesn't show up in the basemap dropdown selector in HTML5 Viewer 2.6.0?

I'm disappointed this has never been answered as I have a similar question, trying to get WMS services added into the Basemap slider. The documentation doesn't anything about "basemaps" not supporting WMS's but...when you add a WMS, there is no checkbox option to click to "Add as basemap" and the documentation does say "The Map Services area lists every map service that can be used in a basemap." It goes on to explicitly list "ArcGIS Server feature layers, KML layers, and GeoRSS layers cannot be used in basemaps", so it'd be really nice if someone from VertiGIS could verify that WMS's indeed are not supported as basemap's and add them to this list.

You are correct, WMS are not supported as a basemap in your site configuration. I'll create a task to update the documentation.
