Check root visibility when setting Layer Visibility

I have a workflow in which I call Set Layer Visibility and Set MapService Visibility. This works as expected, except that the visibility of the 'root' of the layer tree (i.e. Operational Layers or Base Layers) is not changed.

 

So, if Operational Layers is turned off, and I turn on one of the layers within that group, it is still not visible.

 

Is there a way to set the visibility of the root?

 

This is with the HTML Viewer 2.3.2.1174 and Workflow designer 2.21.1.1

  Hi Berend, 

   

  You can set the map service of the layer on by using the "Set Map Service Visibility" activity. If your layer is contained within a folder, then you can use the "Set Layer Visibility" activity to turn on the folder. 

   

  There is no activity that will check the root and make sure everything is turned on before turning the layer visibility on. You have to manually ensure that every level in the tree is turned on.
