Basemap White Out
Is anyone else having issues with the ESRI Typical Base Maps? I can only get Open Street Maps to work. I noticed that the ESRI online base maps are now all different coordinate systems. Some have WGS84 others have the Web Merc Projection, some have other WKID.
Whenever I add an ESRI basemap even with the same WKID as Open Street Maps it just whites out.

Hi Conner! Base maps from http://services.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services are working normally for me, currently. Which services are you seeing this with?
Assuming this wasn't a temporary service interruption on their end (I quickly perused GeoNet, but I didn't see anything that sounded like your issue), I'd be curious to know what the responses look like in Fiddler or even in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools (F12 brings the tools up).0 -
Jordan - I am not sure what is going on as almost all services from services.arcgisonline.com are disabling functions within the map. Even if tit's a new site with an empty map they just white out and lock the scale.

I can see them all fine via the ArcGIS Rest Services directory within ArcGIS Javascript viewer as well as within ArcMap.
We have a reverse proxy and are using Geocortex integrated with Portal 10.4.1 if that helps anything.0 -
I answered it myself....we have to add them to Portal first then share with everyone, then pull it in via ArcGIS for Portal and not ArcGIS Online. Is this the intended behavior? 0 -
Hello Conner,
If you are logging into Manager through a Portal for ArcGIS account, then you would need to add the ArcGIS Online content to your portal first, then add it to your site, as you mentioned. Using this method, Essentials is respecting the security/sharing settings of the Portal for ArcGIS instance above ArcGIS Online.
If you are logging into Manager through an ArcGIS Online organizational account, then you should be able to add it directly.
I hope that information helps.
