Linking to pdf files from maptips

Hello,

 

I am trying to link to pdf files on a file share on our server.  It is a file://XXXx adress.   Just for the test I have hardcoded a link url in "Feature Long Description".  The link tekst displays but not with a line under indicating that it is a link.  The link is implemented like this

 

<a href="file://p:\2014\08\20140843\Leveransedokumenter\Rapport\01 Pipelines\20140843-01-R_Final_Report Pipeline.pdf ">Report</a>

 

This URL works fine with the featurehyperlinks functionality.  If I change the file://....  URL with a http://something URL it links fine.

 

So how can I link to files from the "Feature Long description" and MapTip dialog.

  Hi Helge,  A better approach would be to create a virtual directoy on your web server (IIS) that points to the shared pdf folder.  Then you can use http:// instead of file://
