Exception during search - Global Search and Instant Search stop working

    We are having a very similar problem. Just upgraded to Essentials 4.6.1 and HTML5 Viewer 2.7. Same problem as you - globabl search only returning geocode results and no layer results. Instant Search setting on service just spins. Not sure where to go from here. Reboot doeesn't fix it for me.

    Sorry for the late reply but in a case like this I would -

     

    1) Make sure you are using the latest version.  Starting with Essentials version 4.6 there were several major changes to address Instant Search issues.

     

    2) Submit a support case.  Instant Search issues are difficult to troubleshoot and will likely need a screenshare session to resolve.
