Cached Image Service - use non-cached version?

    To my knowledge, there is no non-cached version associated with a cached image service. But you can publish a separate, uncached image service using the same imagery source.

    We ended up just creating tiles at the closer scales and it's kind of a pain (takes a lot of time, storage, and processing resources).   It's something like 90% of your tiles at the lowest 2 levels, which grow exponentially with each level. This is why our ESRI rep suggested what John says above: create a dynamic service that's only available at the lower scales.

     

    Trying to get two services to act as one can be tricky in Geocortex though, especially when wanting to use the basemap widget and transparency sliders.
