If you want a workflow that finds a place on a map based on the user input in the textbox, then we have examples of that in our Code Gallery Sample. If you can be more specific in terms of what you are trying to acheive, then maybe I can point you in a better direction. However, I think this workflow (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCCodeGallery?sub-nav=codegall&main-nav=essentials&#!/feedtype=SINGLE_ARTICLE_SEARCH_RESULT&id=kA4600000004EXX) here might be along the lines of what you are looking for. The workflow starts off with a display form that allows the user to enter in an address, then it runs the address in a geocoder to find the exact coordinates and zooms to it.
