Error when adding a search table

Hello, 

 

I am trying to add a search table to my site and I keep getting the same error message. It is so vague that I have no idea what the problem could be. I have tried adding an Excel and Access files..both with the same result. I ahve checked the connection type and it appears to be good. It is a rahter large file, but I can't see that being the issue.

 

This is new to me, so any help would be great.

  Hi Larisa, 

   

  I would try adding the data connection again and make sure you select the ODBC option. You can then follow the wizard to set up the connection. This error just means that the data connection to the file is not working so it likely means it cannot find the file you specified. Once you have the data connection created, I would test the connection (button at the bottom of the page) to make sure it is working. Once that is set up, adding the table should be simple. I hope this helps. 

   

  Since these issues are hard to troubleshoot, I would suggest filing a support case for this is the error persists. That way, we can get a better look at it.
