Layer Catalog & Opening Saved Projects

    Hi,

I'm actually unable to load projects through the open project panel when the project is saved with layer catalog layers. The map displays the loading dialog and just keeps churning.

I am able to open the project when using the share link instead, however the layer catalog layer never loads with the project.

After removing the layer catalog layer from the map, and re-saving without it, I was able to load it through the open project panel.

I have started to test Layer Catalog since it was suggested to improve performance as we load about 200 layers currently. Instead of using themes, I thought we could create shared maps with some layer catalog layers. This way I do not have to load all layers. Each saved map (project) would load what it requires from layer catalog. However I encountered this limitation that I cannot save the visibility setting of layer catalog layers. This is a show stopper for our usage.

This is a huge issue for us.

We have a pretty light default site, as recommended by Latitude, with the expectation that users will add the map services they require and then save as a project if required.

But, by turning all layers on by default, with both map services added from Layer Catalog and when opening a saved project, this puts extra burden on users, as well as the servers.

    Hi,
    is there any update here?
Any way to just save what layers were turned on as opposed to turning on every single layer in your project?

Even having all layers turned off is better than loading every layer...
