Global Tasks/Share Project - Limit visable users/groups

We use Geocortex (GE4.5 and GVHTML2.6) to provide solutions to many different clients, and we utilize the identity server security to configure the site security and permissions. 

 

This does not go in our favour when wanting to utilize the Global Tasks tools, particularly the saving and sharing of projects. 

 

Is there any way that we can configure the availble groups or users in the Share Project tool, configured individually for each site we host. Therefore each client or group of users can only see their available options, and not every group and user we have in in the identity server?

  Hi Nadine,

   

  We actually looked into this, but I'm sorry to say that the conclusion was that there wasn't an efficient way to accomplish this.  This is because Core (where the saved projects are) does not have any knowledge of Essentials site security.  

   

  Without getting too technical, there isn't really a feasible way to filter which users and groups are displayed, without a significant reworking of how Core talks to Essentials.  My suggestion would be to post your request in the Ideas section.  If it gains enough traction, it may get reopened.  

   

  I hope this helps!  I'm sorry I don't have better news on this.
