Layer themes when loading a site... and a bug that needs to be squashed
Hi,
First the question (GE 4.5.1 - HTML5Viewer 2.6.1)
When a site is loaded with a particular layer theme specified within the URL, every single map service that is in that site also gets loaded, which has a consequence of taking longer for the site to load.
Why has Geocortex been setup like this?
Is there any plans for this to be changed so that only the map services used within the layer theme get loaded rather than everything?
Now for the bug
On our public facing site (GE 4.4.0 HTML5Viewer 2.5.0) when a site loads which contains a layer theme, the query and filter tools, only show the layers which are in the layer theme.

However in GE4.5.1 and HTML5Viewer 2.6.1, when a layer theme is used, it shows all of the layers within the site, as below

Has this been fixed in the latest version of GE/HTML5Viewer? or is there anyway to only show the layers within the Theme?
Thanks
Halil

I am using Viewer 2.7.1 and this is still an issue. This is a huge problem for one of my clients. Any info on this? 0 -
Also, when doing searches, results from layers not on the current layer theme still come up in the results, while back in Silverlight, only results from layers in the current layer theme are chosen. 0 -
Any updates on this @latitude? 0 -
Hi folks,
This query/filter and layer themes issue (GVH-10465) has been prioritized for the next maintenance release. Developers are also looking into the issue Mike's mentioned (GVH-7396).0 -
Thanks Jordan. 0 -
Update: we will not have GVH-10465 fixed in time for the 2.8.1 viewer. Both GVH-10465 and GVH-7396 are currently on the board for 2.9, expected to be available in late June. 0 -
Thanks for the update Jordan. 0
