How to recreate an HTML5 heatmap in ArcMap

    Hi Ethan,

     

    The Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 uses the ArcGIS JavaScript API to build a (https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/3/jsapi/heatmaprenderer-amd.html) HeatMapRenderer  which we use to visualise data in heatmaps. According to (http://support.esri.com/technical-article/000012211) this link  in ESRI's support center, you can create a heatmap in ArcMap thusly:

     

    To create a heat map in ArcMap, create a layer with features before using tools in either the Density toolset of the Spatial Analyst toolbox or the Mapping Clusters toolset of the Spatial Statistics toolbox.

     

    Use the Point Density, Line Density, or Kernel Density tools from the Spatial Analyst toolbox to calculate the density of features and create a heat map.
