Autocomplete Box active when form opens

This seems too easy but I'm stuck.  I have form with an autocomplete box that performs a very simple search.  Is there a way to have the curser active within the box rather than having the user click on it then start typing.  Not a huge deal but it would be nice if when the form opens they could just start typing.  Thanks!

  Not that I'm aware of. Probably this is a question for Geocortex developers or an item for "ideas" section.

  Thanks Francesca for the response.  That's exactly what I am looking for.  Hopefully someone from Latitude can let us know if there has been progress on this since that 2012 response.  Cheers!

  Hi Jeff,

   

  I've responded in the thread Francesca has indicated, but in addition to (https://support.geocortex.com/EssentialsGSCForum?sub-nav=forum&main-nav=Essentials&feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&dc=Workflow&criteria=ALLQUESTIONS&id=9066000000007KWAAY) what I've said there , there is actually logic in the HTML5 viewer that gives focus to the first field but that also prevents the flashing caret from appearing. This is done so the onscreen keyboard doesn't immediately pop up on touch-enabled devices. On a device with a physical keyboard, however, you can immediately begin typing, and have your text appear in that first field -- assuming you haven't clicked on (or tabbed to) anything else first.

  So, the workflow appears to be fine.  I added it to the LA County site and the the caret is there telling me to type away.  Doesn't do that in my own site.  ?????????

  I’m probably the only one following thread this but just in case, I figured it out.  I realized it had to be coming from the site itself since the workflow worked fine in the LA County site.  I deleted the Accessibility module from my site and replaced it with the Accessibility code from the LA County site. Shazam!  The link below sent me in the right direction.  Thanks!
