customized email subjects?

    Hi Peter,

     

    I'm sorry to say that you cannot customize the email subjects or the sender name.  I would suggest posting this to the ideas section so that people can vote on it.  If it gains enough visibility, we will consider it for a future release!

     

    In regards to the other question, you cannot have different alarms go to different contacts, but some users have worked around this by applying rules on the mail server to route the emails to different recipients based on the subject line or content.  So for example, if the subject contains the string "server1" forward it to user1, and "server2" goes to user1 and user2.  

     

    You can use this same principal of email rules to route your alerts into different folders in your mailbox to make the content easier to understand.  To continue with the same example, let's say that server1 is prod, and server2 is dev.  You can rule that server1 goes to the prod folder, and server2 goes to the dev folder.  Here's a primer on client side rules for Microsoft Outlook that may help!
