How do you pass the Layer value to the RegisterSnappingLayer command as part of the RunExternalCommand in a workflow? Using HTML5 2.5.1 viewer.

I am writing a workflow with the HTML5 2.5.1 viewer and am wanting to register a layer for snapping as part of the workflow using the RunExternalCommand with the command name "RegisterSnappingLayer", this command takes a command value of Geocortex.Essentials.Client.Layer but I do not know where to get this value from, can someone please shed some light?

  Hi Matt,

   

  Currently there isn't a method to get a Geocortex.Essentials.Layer object for one of your layers using workflow activities.  You can run this command from the layer context menu, but you won't be able to make use of it with out of the box workflows. If you'd like to see something like this made available in the future (eg, an activity that get a layer object by using a service and layer id), I would recommend posting to our Ideas board (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) so that other users can vote for it as well.
