Those three settings live in three separate files, but should all update if they are being configured together in the Rest Manager.  I would check your configuration settings in the "Map" Rest Manager page for the viewer in question.  You'll notice either one or three tabs on the page.  If you have one, it'll say "Desktop, Tablet, Handheld" and if you have three then these will be the names of the three separate tabs.  It sounds like you'll have three.

If you do have the three separate tabs, then you've most likely only made changes to the one titled "Desktop," so you need to make the changes on the other two as well.  Otherwise you could click "Configure Simultaneously" above the tab headers on the page and select "desktop" when prompted for the settings to keep.  If I've diagnosed your problem correctly, then this should fix your it for you.

    Zack,

    Thankx for the response.

Maybe it was not so clear what i've explained.

I configured the override scale simultaneously (desktop, tablet, handheld), and it works on a desktop.

And on a ipad and smartpone it works fine with the + and - zoom (i can't zoom to a scale > 1/13000), but with two fingers (magnification) i can break through the override scale.

Ah, that is a much more interesting problem.  I apologizze for being unhelpful, but I have no idea what the issue might be here.  I just tested one of my sites (gvh 2.7.2) on my iOS and it worked as expected, even with two fingers zooming.  I've never seen this before!

You may need to really dig into the viewer to find out what's happening here.  I'd first see whether I could replicate the behavior using the builtin device emulator in Chrome or Firefox dev tools (or IE... if you have to...).  If you can replicate it that way then you may be able to debug this yourself if you can find the script that manages zooming.... my bet would be the mapping.js or framework.js but I don't know.  Otherwise this may be a problem for Latitude Support.  I'm sorry that I couldn't be more useful, but please update if you figure this out.

    Hi Tim and Zach,

Thanks for helping to test Tim's issue Zach!  Like you, I wasn't able to reproduce this on my server.

Tim, can you add the LA county demo site to your server, set the maximum scale, and test again?  This will help us determine if this issue is with your specific site, or something else (like your viewer application).

It may also be worth noting that I was doing my tests on the latest version of Essentials and GVH (4.7 and 2.8), so maybe an upgrade could help?  I'm not sure what version you're using currently.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks,

    Danny
