Data Binding > Controls > Chart Control Report Designer

Permanently deleted user

I'm investigating the ability to display the report designer's Control > Chart Control for a chart to display from within Essentials.

 

The connection has been tested successfully, but when I try to bind the series from the two columns I have in my sql statement, the report designer fails and produces a "Unhandled exception error"

 

Please see attached image.

 

Does anyone have any comments on this issue?

  Hi Walter,

   

  I've had cases before where the connection tests successfully, but the configuration is still incorrect and will not work in subsequent steps.  I would recommend reviewing your connection and sql details, using this KBA (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCkba?sub-nav=kba&main-nav=essentials&#!/feedtype=SINGLE_ARTICLE_DETAIL&criteria=BESTANSWERS&id=kA360000000GqpQCAS) as a guide.
