Autocomplete box selection directly from dropdown list without having to then hit the search button.

I have a simple search workflow the includes an autocomplete box where the user types a couple characters, a list appears, the users clicks on one of the options and then also has to hit a Search button.  Is there a way for the selection to immediately commence after the user clicks on their choice (in this case an address) without also having to click the Search button?  Thanks!
