    Question is how to use report parameters in reports?  I can't fins any examples of the syntax and where to put the code for parameters.

    Hi Natalie,

     

    I believe you are looking for the "DataField" field in the Report Designer.  I would recommend loading up the LA County site that comes with Essentials and seeing how the Pacel Report is put together.  The report is located here:

     

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\LA_County\Resources\TemplateReports\Parcel.rpx

     

    and the report is added via the Map page, edit the layer and click the Reports tab.  The field names to enter in the DataField field come from the Rest endpoint of the layer you are building the report from.

     

    Here is a screenshot showing the Report Designer setting and the value in the REST endpoint :

    Hi Pandora, Thanks for the above.  I now have a further issue where I want to include text data from a few layers into one report.  I have tried sub-reports, but the sub-report data doesn't display.  Do you have any nice practical examples that use subreports?  The ones that come with LA_County are not helpful.  Thanks so much!
