Editor Tracking in HTML5 viewer
We have Editor Tracking working in a Geocortex Silverlight viewer but cannot get it to work in an HTML5 viewer on the same site. Essentials 4.6, HTML5 viewer 2.7.1 and ArcGIS Server 10.4
_img_ alt="Error when editing in HTML5 viewer" src="https://latitudegeo--c.na53.content.force.com/servlet/rtaImage?eid=90660000000CkjU&feoid=Body&refid=0EM600000001TcH"_/_img_
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you, Bobby Jo

The request is being proxied through the HTML5 proxy. It's likely losing AD credentials as the proxy is not setup to pass on credentials. I think we have some documentation on that somewhere around here. I'll talk to some folks and try to get that posted. 0 -
Kevin,
We were able to stop this error by adding the ArcGIS Server to the config file in IIS but now, in the HTML5 viewer, the user that is added is the GC server name, not the AD account. The Silverlight viewer is still working as expected.0 -
I was unable to find much more information on how to get this working. I've seen clients who have user edits tracking as the actual user. The key is to setup the IIS app (Proxy.ashx) to pass on credentials via Kerberos.
My ideas are;- Enable impersonation on the proxy in IIS https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/134ec8tc.aspx
- If the ArcGIS web adapter and GVH proxy are on different servers, setup Kerberos delegation.
It's a multiple step process, and one that I'm not familiar with. I suggest to open a ticket with support if you want a dedicated resource to help with this. Otherwise someone in the community might know exactly.0 -
Thank you Kevin!! I will let you know. 0 -
Is there more information found on this topic? We also have the problem that the user that is written in de editor tracking is the Geocortex Server Name, and not the user itself. So I am interested in how you can set this up. If anyone can give me more info?
Thanks.0 -
Veerle,
We ended up needing to add a web adaptor on the same machine we have Geocortex on and connect to the feature service we want to edit through the web adaptor.0 -
I'm also having a problem setting this up. I have a web adaptor installed on both our ArcGIS Server and Geocortex Server and both are not working and giving different created users. When connecting via the ArcGIS Server Web Adaptor I get the server name (ZEN\GISTESTSVR2$) in the created user field and when connecting via the Geocortex Server Web Adaptor I get app pool identity (IIS APPPOOL\EssentialsAppPool4) of the Web adator service.
We are running Essentiansl 4.80 and 2.9 HTML5 viewer.
Would anyone have any idea on how to reslove this?0 -
Adam,
How are you connecting to the data in Geocortex? You need to connect as Web Tier.0
