Share map - layers parameter

In the HTML5 viewer when I select the Share Map option and then the email option it produces a URL like this:

 

https://ourdomain/outsite/?layerTheme=&scale=5000&layers=1mrwcR008PNM0JnOy93OgAn0000HQv2bRCbT2Xyyee37gLNC2cByF7&center=441160.37566675124%2C261057.03552832105

 

What does the value for the layers parameter actually mean? And is there any way to generate this yourself?

  The layers parameter is a hash of layers whose visibility has been changed; some sites have a large number of layers, so the hash is used to ensure that the parameter's value is not so long that the URL is invalid. There is currently no means provided to create or decode this hash.
