How can I get the relationship ID based on its name?

The RelationshipQueryTask requires the ID of the relationship as an input argument. Now I just found out the hard way that this ID is not a fixed value, but can change if a mapservice is republished.

 

So, is there a way to get the ID of the relationship by its name in a workflow?

  You have turned on the "Allow assignment of unique numeric IDs for map service publishing" setting in the MXD?

  With a GetFeatureLayerInfo activty the result also contains a list of relationships.

   

  You can use this activity despite the name on a mapserver URL.
