    Hi Noel,

     

    We've made some improvements to instant search in Essentials 4.7 and 4.8 that should make re-scans of the service take less time, and use less resources.  Are you noticing a performance hit when the data is scanned, or are you trying to be proactive?

     

    If you'd like to look into this, I'd suggest opening a support case so we can help you look into this!  There are some environment specific factors to disabling index scanning that make it not really suitable for a forum post, but if you'd like, we're happy to discuss them with you!
