Disable Scheduled Instant Search Index Rebuild

Hi,

 

Is it possible to disable the instant search scheduled starts? We've got a dataset that we have instant search enabled but the data is static and updates are done far in between.

 

How would I configure the startupsettings to disable it and once disabled, I presume restarting the instant search scan from essentials manager would rebuild the index?

  Hi Noel,

   

  We've made some improvements to instant search in Essentials 4.7 and 4.8 that should make re-scans of the service take less time, and use less resources.  Are you noticing a performance hit when the data is scanned, or are you trying to be proactive?

   

  If you'd like to look into this, I'd suggest opening a support case so we can help you look into this!  There are some environment specific factors to disabling index scanning that make it not really suitable for a forum post, but if you'd like, we're happy to discuss them with you!
