Hi Jordan,
Could you please confirm whether this release has resolved Bug ID: Core-2477 ('Geocortex Core Service missing after Windows Server 2008 updates installed')?
This issue is preventing us from upgrading, so we are keen to see it resolved before progressing.
Additionally, do you have an ETA for fix for the Analytics bug you reference, above?
Many thanks.0 -
Hi Jordan,
Can you please confirm if the Analytics issue affects silverlight viewers with sign in?
Thank you!
Belinda0 -
Hi Jordan,
Upgraded from 4.6.3 to 4.7.1 Post Installer failed to connect to Geocortex Core. The operation timed out.
Regards,
Richard0 -
Lindsay: CORE-2477 is not yet resolved. I'll be meeting with the Products team to discuss this (among other) issues. The fix for the Analytics integration is currently being tested. I anticipate that we'll be making a new viewer (2.8.2) available within the next day or so.
Belinda: The bug with Analytics integration was in the HTML5 viewer, so that issue will be specific to that viewer. The Silverlight viewer should continue to work with Analytics.
Richard: I would recommend getting in touch with our (To: support@latitudegeo.com) Support team to troubleshoot and resolve an installation issue like that.0 -

GE-8979 Cannot create or edit base map groups
I still have exactly the same problem in 4.7.1 When editing a basemap, nothing happens when I click ok. How has this been resolved?0 -
GE-8979 Cannot create or edit base map groups
The JavaScript error that I get when clicking ok is: 'Promise' is undefined
This also happens if I add a new map service as base map, open the editing base map dialogue and just click ok without changing anything.
Please explain how to edit the site.xml to get base maps in, including base maps that use two map services.0 -
Hi All,
The Geolocation issue on iOS 10.3.1 is still there despite the fact that LG confirmed that it is resolved in 4.7.1\2.8.2.
Is the issue solved for https or http?
Best,
Fatin0 -
Hi Fatin,
Per my reply in the other thread where you posted (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCForum?sub-nav=forum&main-nav=essentials&feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&dc=Geocortex_Viewer_for_HMTL5&criteria=ALLQUESTIONS&id=90660000000CklpAAC) this question , this issue is solved in 2.8.1. In order to use geolocation, you need to access your map over HTTPS. This is a limitation of the browser, and is not something that we can solve.
If you are using HTTPS, and you are still seeing this issue, please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi Jordan, did you get any news from the Products Team regarding CORE-2477?
This bug is currently preventing us from upgrading.0 -
Hi, Lindsay. I have nothing positive to report, unfortunately. The developers and QA team are having trouble reproducing this in-house, which makes it difficult to troubleshoot, and with this summer's very busy development schedule, it's unlikely that this will be resolved for Essentials 4.8. If there's an up-side in any of this, it's that the issue doesn't manifest consistently, nor is it common -- as far as we're aware -- and in the two instances that we've assisted with, the issue was resolved by running a repair on Core.
So you may consider upgrading even without a fix for this bug, although I do recognize that it's easier for me to say that, as I'm not the one doing the upgrade. I will keep you updated as there are developments, but, as I said, there likely won't be any changes until the fall, at the earliest.0 -
Hi Jordon,
Thanks for the update. It's a shame the issue hasn't been resolved yet.
We will have to consider our options going forward.0
