Clear Highlights

I have a mailing list workflow that prompts the user to select a number of parcels and subsequently highlights them on the map. Once the mailing list is completed and the workflow is closed, the highlighted parcels on the map persist. I also have another workflow attached to a toolbar button intended to clear selections and highlights from the map (using ClearHighlights, ClearSelection and ClearMarkup). This workflow effectively clears the map in all cases except when the mailing list workflow is run. What else can I try to clear the mailing list parcel highlights?

  I have a similar tool that wasn't always removing certain selected items so I may have went overboard.  Our clear tool has eight RunExternalCommand activites that include ClearSelection, ClearHighlights, ClearMarkupQuite, ClearResults, ClearActiveTool, ClearResults (yes, I just realized it's in there twice), RemoveHighlightLayer, and SwitchToLayerView.  It's probaly like brining a tank to a knife fight but one click clears everything. :)

  I have a similar routine to what Jeff mentioned. It uses all of the commands he used, but there are two I use that he didn't mention. They are the "ClearTemporaryMarkup" and "ClearMarkup"commands. Maybe that will do the trick.

  Hi Danny, I tried to attach it but there are too many characters. I just sent in a support request and attached it to that.
