attachments error in 2.9
I'm getting the "File Attachment Failed. Forbidden" error when trying to attach a file to a record. I've added the service URL to proxy.config (as suggested in other posts) but that didn't fix it. I added an attachment to the feature through ArcMap and am able to see/open the attachment in the viewer. "You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied" is the error in Fiddler. The map service is secured and the layer is accessible only to a few users which has been configured by allowing access to 3 windows user accounts. Any advice how to correct this?

Hi Rebecca,
I have been able to recreate this issue in our local testing environment and have filed an internal tracking ticket and passed the issue off to a developer who is currently looking into it. The issue number is GVH-16048 for future reference.
The issue seems to be the result of the Windows Authentication token not being passed in the AddAttachment request as it is with other requests for the feature layer. Unfortuantely I have yet to find a workaround outside of securing both your Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 and the ArcGIS Server with Windows Authentication.
I will keep you up to date on any new information, let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Thanks Cory. I sent in a support request this morning that includes a Fiddler capture, site.xml, viewer config file and proxy.config file in case that would be helpful. Adding attachments is working in another site but the permissions are set up a little differently. If comparing files between my 2 sites/viewers would be helpful let me know and I can send the files for the working site/viewer also. 0
