Web Map used in Manager automatically refreshes when updated in Portal or ArcGIS Online
In many cases, web apps built using Web App Builder by Esri automatically update when you update the webmap.
When working in Essentials Manager, Web Maps currently must be refreshed every time we make an update to the Web Map in Portal or ArcGIS Online. Our analysts would like the option to see Geocortex Sites refreshing automatically whenever the webmap is updated in Portal or ArcGIS Online.
Going forward, the webmap is the basis of doing Web GIS. No longer will we just publish services and add them to an app. Hence, I think its important to recognise the value of the webmap in building our Geocortex sites. By having automatic refresh of webmaps, Geocortex users who are authoring sites can become more efficient as it will remove the step in there to have to manually go and refresh the webmap each time.
