map connection to an "atypical" ArcGIS rest services
I'm trying to connect to a (I'll call it) an atypical arcgis rest services URL, i.e. https://server.domain.gov/gis/xxxxx/rest/services. I can't add it as a connection in the ArcGIS REST Services Directory in GE Manager (4.7.1); however, the service directory is accessible in a browser.
The same problem occurs when trying to add a single map service connection in a Site from this rest service. Again, the map service is accessible in a browser. I was curious if this might be caused by the fact the URL is, for me, atypical in format. Has anyone one else had a similiar problem, or does anyone have an idea why the connection can't be made?
Thanks,
Frank

Hi Frank,
Is the service in question using TLS 1.2? There's a known issue with Essentials and TLS 1.2. I've linked our Knowledge Base article below, follow those steps and restart your server.
