Map tips not working - batch edit show map tips green square
I have a viewer in which map tips are not responding despite being turned on. If I create another viewer in the same site the map tips work fine. I've compared the two viewers "MapTips" modules and they are identical so I cannot figure out why map tips are working in one viewer and not the other.
When in Manager I've tried turning the map tips on at the edit layer level and as a a batch edit...one curiosity - with the batch edit, why do I get green squares instead on checkmarks on map tips and identify? What do these squares mean?

Green square means the map tip is not enabled for all the layers within that folder. In other words, it is been enabled only for one or few layers.
There are two things you need to check. First, check whether the map tip is enabled for that layer and the second check is whether the map tip is configured (edit layer) in the feature description of the layer.0
